Inspiration from Nature's Beauty

We have spent many years exploring the countryside, gardens, and coastlines of the British Isles, developing a strong interest in the wildlife found there.

Birdwatching has been a major part of this, giving us experience in identifying species and observing their behaviour in different habitats. This dedication outdoors has built an appreciation for the birds and the environments they inhabit.

Dedication to Craft

In our quiet garden workshop,  Allan hand cuts each bird from sustainably sourced wood. Using traditional saws and carving tools, he shapes every bird by hand, crafting simple, striking silhouettes.

Because of this process, each bird is unique and carries subtle differences in shape, line, and texture, making it truly one of a kind.

Finishing Touches

After Allan crafts each bird, Norma brings the bird to life with her artistic hand, adding distinctive markings, colours, and details that bring character and identity to each individual bird.

Alongside this, she also creates multimedia bird artworks, designing landscapes of the British Isles layered with translucent silhouettes of the birds found in these habitats, producing contemporary prints that offer a unique design that compliments any interior.
